I originally decided to get a new surgery for two reasons: first, to correct some serious breathing problems, and second, to repair the job done the first time around, which I wasn't at all happy with. I actually waited about ten years since my first surgery, and really started looking aggressively into revision rhinoplasty in the last five years.
 The research process for me was very thorough. I went through everything I could find on the Internet and had consultations with a few doctors. Ultimately, I chose Dr. Becker because of his dedication and specialization in correcting breathing problems, controlling allery symptoms, and of course, great revision rhinoplasty!
 The other element which is more intangible is that Dr. Becker was serious yet quite real about understanding how the desire to improve the situation was very important to me. His experience was very key to deciding on scheduling the procedure with him. He explained what he could do, how he would do it, and was open to my input. Very important indeed! He was confident of how he could help me without any hing of arrogance. His intelligence was evident. I just knoew he could/would do a wonderful job after meeting him in person!
During my initial consultation, I had a good conversation about what I wanted to do. I was given a nasal exam and also received suggestions on remedies for my allergies. A digital pictures reviewed of the possible outcome. Discussion on what the procedure would be like and possible challenges as well. Also, we reviewe the recovery process. It was not a rushed visit and he was very personable.
When it comes to the surgery itself, there's just so much... where to begin... it was 100 times better than my first experience years ago. The nurses were absolutely wonderful... caring, timely and very diligent about their work. The facility was immaculate and very comfortable. The take a lot of steps to make you warm, relaxed and comfortable. I had absolutely no concerns. In fact, I went to the facility via a transport van from the hotel and arrived alone. Normally you would think someone would feel a bit uneasy about that, but the whole process went well. It took a while for the anesthesia to wear off, but I had no bad reactions. They prepared everything so medication at my request was used to prevent vomiting (which happened to me years ago and it was bad!). So even the anesthesia was fine this time.
The follow-up visit the next day was better than I anticipated too. It went very well. No black and blue or excessing swelling. Simply amazing! The specially designed rhinoplasty instruments and other advanced surgical procedures performed made a huge difference in the results and my recovery.
With regards to the results, I am absolutely ecstatic. I often wondered if the improvements could be made. On a previous consult with another surgeon, who said the reconstruction needed was beyond his skills, well, that made me somewhat doubtful that it could be done. However, Dr. Becker assured me that he had the expertise and skill to make it happen. Now, with some time having passed, I can only say that I am unbelievably HAPPY with the results. Thanksful that Dr. Becker did such a great job!
Because of my great experience and the fantastic results, I would recommend Dr. Becker without a doubt. I even went on the Internet and tried to tell as many people as possible to please consult with Dr. Becker. He is a very skilled surgeon and is interested in helping people.
