Question:
Is there anything that can be done after surgery to make the swelling better faster? My nose job was one week ago and I have to return to work soon. I know swelling is normal but my nose looks like its twice its normal size. If there’s anything at all that I can do before returning to work, that would be great. Answer:
Sleeping with your head elevated and avoiding salt may help. It sounds like you have a bit more swelling than we would expect to see, so it would also be important to communicate with your surgeon, and find out what other recommendations they may have. Sometimes some prescription medications may help in certain situations. Posted by Dr. Becker
