| AVOIDING COMPLICATIONS
Question: I had my first rhinoplasty surgery only 8 months ago. I am not happy with the results. How soon can I have revision rhinoplasty?
Answer: It depends upon what needs to be done. While traditional teaching is that at least 1 year should pass, Dr. Becker has found that in certain cases there is no particular benefit in waiting this long.
Dr. Becker is certain of this – that if you feel you need a revision rhinoplasty, you should not wait to make a consultation appointment. While you may need to wait a number of months before you actually have surgery, it is important to begin the process – to learn about what is possible, to establish a trusting relationship with your revision rhinoplasty surgeon, to put some of your worries and fears to rest. Dr. Becker has found it extremely helpful to see patients early on, and then to actually see the healing process from the last surgery. He has found this helpful in performing successful restorative surgery.+
